Learning objectives
By the end of the course, participants will:
- Understand who is at risk of self-harm and increase knowledge of the common forms of self-harm.
- Develop an understanding of why someone might self-harm.
- Increase confidence in talking to someone about their self-harming behaviours.
- Discuss the relationship between self-harm and suicidality.
- Address immediate risks associated with self-harm, including suicidality.
- Encourage help-seeking and signpost to relevant services.
