Urgent and Emergency Care Staff Health and Wellbeing (2021)

In May 2021, we delivered a project for Health Education England with the aim of supporting the wellbeing of urgent and emergency care (UEC) staff in south east London (SEL).

We conducted a consultation following an action learning approach, which involved the following methods to maximise stakeholder engagement:

  • Initial literature review
  • System engagement and consultancy
  • Leadership interviews
  • Staff surveys
  • Feedback workshops
  • Strategy development workshop
  • Network building workshop.

These activities resulted in supporting the development of a SEL UEC Wellbeing report, a network development guide, a literature review of UEC staff wellbeing needs, and the establishment of a SEL UEC Wellbeing network.
