Clinical simulation for MSc in mental health studies

This is a half-day, online simulation course designed for students on KCL’s MSc in mental health studies. It will focus on communication with service users and carers, clinical interview skills, and professionalism.

Through a series of simulated clinical encounters with patients played by professionally-trained actors, course participants will be able to develop these skills and improve their confidence in relation to working in a mental healthcare setting.

Each scenario will be followed by a structured debrief chaired by our experienced simulation facilitators. The debrief will be an opportunity for reflection on these skills and the associated clinical themes and challenges presented by working in a clinical setting.
