Meet the team
Sean is a consultant liaison psychiatrist in SLaM and works clinically at King’s College Hospital. He is Clinical Director for King’s Health Partners’ Mind and Body programme to improve mental and physical healthcare integration.
He founded the nationally award winning Maudsley Simulation with James and is now the Managing Director of Maudsley Learning.
He is passionate about delivering high quality education and training to improve the care and experience of service users. He is a past winner of the RCPsych’s Trainer of the Year award and proud to be leading our new venture!
James is the head of operations at Maudsley Learning and the service lead for Maudsley Simulation. James has over 10 years’ in-depth experience managing mental health education delivery and research teams across the health system and NHS. Recently, working with primary care colleagues through LCNs, CCGs, and CEPNs in south London to expand the reach of mental health simulation based education, has been a particular area of interest and success. James is published in the area of mental health simulation education. James is also an AGILE management coach and a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM).
Chris leads on Maudsley Learning’s quality assurance, and research and evaluation workstreams, working with a team of researchers and each of our course leads and facilitators to ensure that our training is of the highest possible quality, is routinely assessed using data, and is disseminated to a wider audience. Chris has clinical, management, and research experience in the NHS and has published widely in the field of mental health education. Currently completing a Professional Doctorate in Occupational Health Psychology, Chris’s research interests relate to promoting wellbeing in healthcare professionals.
Carolyn has rich experience in leading digital learning and workforce development for over 13 years. She is committed to ensuring the best outcomes for service users through providing learning for professionals in an increasingly digital world. Carolyn is leading on digital strategy and is head of learning and knowledge systems at SLaM. She has a background in computer science and IT Law and lectured, before managing a national digital transformation education programme, joined the NHS as eLearning strategy lead, was digital education lead with our partners, the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, she joined SLaM in May 2018. Carolyn’s research interests relate to analysing data on digital behaviours to improve design and delivery.
Jose heads the sales department for Maudsley Learning and is a key contact especially for our organisational clients. He will be very happy to speak with you about a range of issues! He has years of experience working with various clients from all sectors and has a particular interest in ensuring the service and product offering is delivered to our clients’ specification.
Dimeji is responsible for developing and implementing marketing plans for Maudsley Learning to deliver on our vision of being the lead provider of education and training programmes in mental health and well-being. He has over 10 years of marketing experience. Having successfully led on previous branding projects within the NHS, he will seek to develop our brand with vigour and create global awareness!
Greg is a consultant liaison psychiatrist with considerable experience in medical education, most recently as Education Projects Lead for the World Psychiatric Association where he successfully developed a world-first online Graduate Diploma of International Psychiatry. He has an interest in curriculum development and evaluation, and in online learning in psychiatry.
Jenn has a wealth of healthcare experience acquired during a 15-year career covering clinical, operational, financial, commercial and strategic roles within the acute settings of, UCLH, St. George’s and South West London Pathology (SWLP) and has recently moved into the area of Mental Health. Prior to working in the NHS Jenn worked for Unilever Bestfoods as a Graduate Trainee and then within procurement. Her particular areas of specialism include Commercial Development, Business Case Development, Strategy Development, and Operational management. Jenn has recently completed the creation, implementation and operational lead for South West London Pathology before moving to SLaM.
Amy Chapman is the Deputy Director of the Education and Development department at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, having worked for the department since 2012. She leads the strategic and operational management of the department, including workforce development, mandatory training provision and mental health promotion. Amy has a strong interest in apprenticeships and their refreshed place in developing people both already working in healthcare and new to the sector.
